Control Systems

AuDeo's Guide to Control Systems

Why have a control system?

It might seem obvious but essentially we want to remove the multitude of remote controls from the table AND provide an interface that offers more friendly control of the room environment.

This may include clever functions such as re-configuring a room when a partition is removed or replaced.

What system should I use? Video Conferencing

This will depend on:

  • Complexity
  • Budget
  • Personal preference
  • Required reliability

Your main options are:

Crestron / AMX solutions are the industry standard and provide robust systems capable of complex control via expert programming. Crestron / AMX are highly expandable and a range of control panel options are available.  AuDeo standardise on Crestron, although can supply AMX if preferred.

Crestron have a range of products providing solutions to meet most requirements from simple to complex rooms and can include integrated AV equipment such as switchers and amplifiers.

Even simpler requirements can be met with other systems such as URC.

URC solutions are ideal for applications that approach Crestron / AMX but where control requirements are less complex. Control panel options are limited although our standard one, the MX-3000 is very nice indeed.  Ideal where demands are simple and budget prevents Crestron / AMX.

Always discuss control related projects with one of AuDeo’s Pre-sales Technical Engineers before making a decision, as there may be things that you haven’t thought of.

AuDeo will work with you to identify the right system for you.  We will help to identify the need for a control system, discuss the options available to you, understand any budgetary constraints and of course build a clear picture of what is to be controlled.
